Vintage/Antique Oil Painting 'Three White Rabbits' - Mid to Late 19th Century?

Vintage, possibly antique, oil painting 'Three White Rabbits'.

On inspection, the painting could do with some restoration work (see photos) and the frame is showing signs of age and wear/damage.

We believe that this is NOT an original 'Herring' even though it is signed as one! We believe it may have been produced around the same time. The name of the Picture framers/restorers on the back of the painting, Biggs & Sons from London were in business in the mid 19th century(1853-1856).

The painting has been based on a piece by Jean-Jacques Bechelier(1724-1806) and is called 'Three white rabbits on a ledge with peaches in a basket'.

The frames measures 12" x 14" with the painting measuring 7.5" x 9.5".
