Vintage Brass Armillary Sphere 'A Paris Chez G. Globille a P Ache Royalle Ornament'

Small scale decorative ornament inspired by the armillary sphere astronomical instrument - perfect for a desk or shelf. 

The armillary sphere has an orb in the middle, surrounded by a ring showing all the star signs. Around the rim is "A Paris Chez G. Globille a P Ache Royalle" which implies it is a reproduction of the spheres of Gédéon Gobille, a 17th century manufacturer of scientific instruments

Approx. 11" tall

Donated used, showing some signs of wear from age and use, but in generally good condition.
