Alabaster Onyx? and porcelain

There doesn't appear to be any makers names or marks on the bookends.

Features a boy and a girl sat with their backs to each other on a base of Alabaster Onyx?

Measurements:

Height: Approx. 6"

Length: Approx. 5.5"

Width: Approx. 3"

It does sound as though there is something inside the bookend with the boy as you can hear something rattling inside when it is moved, although there doesn't appear to be any damage/missing pieces.

Please note that these items were donated used so they may show some signs of age and use, there is some crazing to the porcelain figurines and some generally aging to them. The stands also have some wear but overall they do seem to still be in generally good condition.
