Antique Lewis & Allenby Victorian Carriage Parasol Black Lace Silk Lining

An antique parasol branded Lewis & Allenby. Circa 1840-60's.

The parasol has black lace over cream silk. The top part of the handle is wooden while the bottom half we believe to be ivory. The handle can fold in half to be more compact.

It measures approximately. 15" long when folded and 26.5" long when unfolded. When opened, it has a width of around 23"

Donated used. As expected from the age, the parasol does show signs of wear, including a lot of discolouration to the silk (but no holes or damage that we can see). The lace seems to be in good condition, though we noticed one or two places where connections in the pattern seem to have been cut.
