D&S 925 Hallmarked Sterling Silver Brooch with Colourful Flower Front

This item was donated used. In generally good condition, but could use a polish.

The bar part that locks the badge into place is a bronze colour rather than silver. We're unsure if this is because it is not sterling silver, or has discoloured due to rust or similar.

The D&S hallmark is presumably the makers hallmark, but we could not find any information about it.

The date hallmark (Birmingham) suggests the badge dates for 1949.
